When Does Billy Flynn Debut On ‘The Young and the Restless’?

It’s been weeks since news broke that Billy Flynn was leaving Days of our Lives for The Young and the Restless.

The casting shocker left both Y&R and Days fans shaking their heads since Flynn had been on the hit Peacock soap for over a decade.

Flynn’s arrival in Genoa City has been highly anticipated since it was revealed he was joining the show.

Although no premiere date was revealed at the time of the casting news, Flynn was expected to make his The Young and the Restless debut during May sweeps.

The pivotal sweeps month winds down next week, and Y&R fans have yet to see Flynn in Genoa City. All signs point to Flynn’s first appearance on the CBS soap happening then, just as May sweeps come to an end.

Flynn wrapped his run in Days of Our Lives this winter and began filming for The Young and the Restless in March, shortly after news of his soap switch-up dropped. Y&R films about six to eight weeks in advance, making May sweeps the right time for Flynn’s premiere.

The recent return of Amanda (Mishael Morgan) and her connection to Aristotle Dumas has added more fuel to the fire that Flynn will be on screen soon. Despite the show and Flynn keeping mum on who he is playing, fans are certain he’s playing the mysterious Dumas.

Once Flynn debuts on The Young and the Restless, he will do double duty in the soap worldDue to Days of Our Lives‘ advanced filming schedule, Flynn will still air as Chad until early 2026.
