The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, October 8 reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will shock Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) with some news, while Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) pressures Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

During the Tuesday, October 7 episode, Victor interrupted a rather heated discussion between Jill and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as they were arguing about Cane.

Nikki was hoping to gain an ally in Jill to stop the billionaire mogul from taking over all the major corporations in Genoa City; however, Jill insisted that Nikki was overreacting.

Nikki mentioned this to Victor as the three of them were in the living room of the Newman Ranch, so as the Y&R October 7 show closed, Victor promised he’d be able to change Jill’s mind about Cane.

Still, she shrugged it off, so can Victor accomplish his goal during the October 8 episode?

At this point, it feels as if no one can get through to Jill about her pseudo-son.

Whether it’s Nikki or her real son, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Jill can’t see past the Cane she once knew, not the power-hungry one that has evolved over the years.

Jill has a massive soft spot for Cane, but it sounds like whatever Victor tells the woman will catch her completely off guard.

Has anyone really filled Jill in on what happened in Nice? This might be what Victor does to stun the woman into realizing that Cane isn’t all he’s cracked up to be.

Speaking of Cane, Y&R spoilers for Wednesday, October 8, note that he’ll be pressed by Jack to do the right thing.

Is this all part of Jack’s ploy to get the better of Cane, or will he attempt to reason with him?

Cane and Jack were friends at one point back in the day, so perhaps Jack may decide to take a softer approach as an angle, for a change.

Finally, Nikki will go searching for answers.

Is this to come up with a strategy to help Jill see the light, or is this about something entirely different?

Nikki truly feels like Jill is the key to squashing Cane’s dastardly AI plans, so fans will need to tune in to see exactly what the Newman matriarch is up to.

The Young and the Restless spoilers remind fans that Nikki does have a ton on her plate right now, but bringing Cane to his knees and eliminating him as a threat to her family’s legacy seems like the top priority right now for her, and just about everyone else in Genoa City!
