The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, September 16, reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) tries to win over a reluctant Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), while Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) revenge plot has a hiccup.

Kyle has irritated Claire for weeks now, with his slow dribble of truth about what he’s been doing behind her back. This all culminated in a rushed marriage proposal which Claire felt was a consolation prize for all the ish he’s caused.

Klaire are in the Weeds

Kyle saw his move as a sign of his dedication to her, but Claire can’t help but feel sus. Clearly these two need to get on the same page, but the chances of that look slim given the current climate–unless Kyle can apologize to Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). In a hissy snit fit, Kyle told Holden to leave Claire alone and naturally Claire took umbrage to that.

Claire, Kyle & Holden Have Things to Work Out

We can tell you that Kyle swallows his pride on Tuesday’s episode, but there are more issues ahead for Klaire.

Elsewhere, Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) brainstorm over their own mess. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) wants to use Abbott Communications to test out the power of their contraband AI software.

Adam is on board, but Chelsea won’t be. When the Newmans get Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) AI bundle, Adam wants to unleash it on Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) company.

Chadam Are Opposed

Adam updates Chelsea and reiterates that they need to neutralize Billy because he could be a threat via his Cane alliance.

Chelsea is torn—she gets the need to dilute their enemies, but will not like the thought of destroying her exe’s company, Abbott Communications. Then there are the ethical and legal aspects of what they’re doing and the AI frontier has Chelsea alarmed.

Sally Wants No Part of It

Conversely, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) does not condone Billy’s AI software plans. Billy says he will only use it as a threat and not deploy the weapon but Sally isn’t convinced.

Sally fears that Billy will to use the software eventually and wind up in prison. Sally tells Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about the sticky situation.

Meanwhile, Michael Baldwin’s (Christian LeBlanc) mission means he must fool Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). How low will he go to keep Phyllis from finding out about his double agent arrangement with Victor?
