The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Claire’s Rebound Sparks Drama As Holden Makes His Move
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) still loves Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). But she’s desperately trying to distract herself from that deep feeling, and Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) provides an easy out.
Holden’s sketchy past doesn’t rival Claire’s, who was raised by a notorious criminal. Jordan Howard’s (Colleen Zenk) kidnapping and purposeful brainwashing of Claire were aimed at eventually ending the lives of the Newman family. In contrast, Holden is believed to have been involved in shady dealings with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) when they both lived in Los Angeles, California.
Claire’s agreement to travel to LA with Holden pushes the next step in what has been a slow-build flirtation. Viewers recall that Claire didn’t believe Holden was romantically interested in her until he recently acknowledged that it was true.
Kyle Abbott’s Lack Of Control Created The Rift
Kyle never loved Audra. They were briefly involved during the period when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) began to test Kyle.
The Glissade adventure produced nothing worthwhile for Kyle or Audra. Their transactional personal connection left no initial impression on Kyle, but Audra was smitten. She later felt scorned and ignored, which sparked her ongoing quest for revenge.
While Victor didn’t see Kyle cheat on Claire, the Moustache has realized significant negative results that have pushed Erin’s character to another man. Victor doesn’t appear to know that Holden has been working for Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) all along, which is sure to impact Claire.
Victoria Newman Trails Daughter West
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is grieving the loss of one of her loves, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck). Viewers are apparently being asked to believe that a somewhat significant amount of time has passed since Cole died because the grief period Victoria and Claire experienced moved quickly.
Claire is someone whom Victoria and Cole never thought they would see again on this earth. Their daughter, whom they named Eve Nicole Howard, was believed to have died at birth, as Jordan fiendishly orchestrated.
It’s natural, with Cole gone and Claire lacking many natural life experiences, that Victoria’s maternal sense would remain heightened indefinitely. So, her follow-up with Claire to LA makes sense. It’s also necessary to help set up a teased separate storyline mystery that will unfold this fall.
Holden Novak Wants A Fresh Start
Two points can be true at once and aren’t parallel. Holden did live a less-than-honorable life before he came to Genoa City, Wisconsin, and he is trying to make a fresh start now.
Claire is someone who caught Holden’s eye instantly. He’s come to care for her, was supportive when Cole passed, and hasn’t crossed any moral line while Claire’s been committed to Kyle.
But Holden is taking his cues from Claire, and she’s giving him the go-ahead. With Kyle back in GC, Holden will become the man Claire considers as his replacement while they are in LA, and maybe after they return home.
