“The Blue Bloods Family Says Farewell to Beloved Actor Gregory Jbara”

According to Deadline, Boston Blue has already been sold to more than 100 international markets after only one episode had aired in its debut season.
AXN Asia, Coupang Play (Korea), M-Net (Africa), Sky (New Zealand and German-speaking European markets), Play Media (Belgium), Cosmote TV (Greece), Síminn (Iceland), beIN (Cyprus and Turkey) are just some of the buyers who have secured the rights to air the show outside the United States.
Meanwhile, the streaming service Paramount+ will be the home of Boston Blue in Australia, while CTV will air the procedural in other international markets.
Expectations were already high for Boston Blue internationally due to the continued success of the genre, but selling in more than 100 markets has proven to exceed all hopes for the spinoff, which recently screened at the Marché International des Programmes de Communication (MIPCOM) in Cannes, France.
This huge milestone comes after Wahlberg hinted at expanding the Blue Bloods/Boston Blue franchise beyond just these two shows. The actor and executive producer has a vision of a long-lasting franchise similar to Law & Order. Wahlberg’s dream, though, is to bring the Blue Bloods and Boston Blue casts together for a crossover film.
While financial reasons led to the end of Blue Bloods, CBS wasn’t ready to say goodbye to this universe just yet, as a spinoff was ordered that would see Wahlberg’s character Danny transfer from New York to Boston. The Walking Dead and Star Trek: Discovery‘s Sonequa Martin-Green stars as Detective Lena Silver. Danny and Lena end up working together in the Boston Police Department after Danny’s transfer.
Other Boston Blue cast members include Ernie Hudson, Maggie Lawson, Gloria Reuben, Marcus Scribner, and Mika Amonsen. Bridget Moynahan guest-starred in the Boston Blue series premiere, and Marisa Ramirez is back in a recurring capacity.
The Boston Blue premiere drew in 4.68 million viewers. If the show proves to be a hit for CBS, then fans should expect more spinoffs, which would likely also reach the same major international milestone.
