Ruby and Caleb in Emmerdale face criminal dilemma over mystery newcomer

Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash) could do without more police interference in Emmerdale.
They are still living on a knife edge over Anthony’s death. While John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) has finally revealed where he stashed the body, there’s no saying that he won’t dob them into the police now that he’s far enough away to be absolved of the crime.
But while that’s hanging over them, there’s fresh criminal activity that will see Ruby and Caleb in bother.
The trouble begins with Caleb in the wrong place at the wrong time – he witnesses Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) unintentionally whacking Jimmy King (Nick Miles) with the car while he’s distracted, and Caleb is forced to step in to ensure Joe saves Jimmy’s life.

It means that as an official witness, the police need to come a-calling.
Joe arrives at the Depot ahead of the police to get their stories straight, but they both hear a sound from one of the vans. As they follow their ears, they find the van in question and throw the doors open to find a stowaway, a woman called Anya.
This is not a great situation when the police arrive to get his statement and Caleb is left sweating that they’ll discover the stowaway.
Thankfully in that moment, Anya makes herself scarce by running off, and Ruby heads off after her, which means the police don’t realise they have somehow smuggled an illegal immigrant into the country.

But Ruby is empathetic to the woman, which will ultimately cause Caleb a big headache.
They have Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) over to secretly check over the woman, who advises them to report her to the authorities. Ruby agrees but has other ideas.
Who is Anya and what trouble will she cause for Ruby?
