Robert makes decision that could end things with Aaron forever in Emmerdale

Aaron Dingle’s (Danny Miller) got a lot on his mind in Emmerdale right now.

Long gone is the guy who’d chin you if you so much as looked at him the wrong way, and in his place is a soppy, loved-up guy who has chosen to play second fiddle to an ex-con hard nut.

When Aaron first found out that Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) had a secret husband Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) he gave Robert an ultimatum and made it clear he was not happy.

But with some persuasion following Kev’s heart attack, Aaron stood down and chose to let Robert do his thing. Robert promised to end things with Kev, but in his own time – or rather, after Kev’s untimely death so that he could get his hands on his cash.

No one likes their current lover’s ex sniffing around, and an insecure Kev took a serious disliking to Aaron, particularly as Aaron outed a closeted Kev to the pub.

In return, Kev issued Aaron with a death threat – mess with him again and don’t live to see another day.

Now while Kev is not a man to have on the wrong side, after some words from Robert, Kev is strangely determined to end this fight with Aaron for his husband’s sake.

Aaron on the other hand, issues his own threat – Robert must sort it, or he will.

End things with Kev, or Aaron will end Kev. Empty threats really – Aaron should have walked away as soon as Kev showed up on the scene, but he’s far too into Robert to give him up.

Kev has a plan to keep his man; he proposes that they renew their vows and cement their love. Word gets back to Aaron who is horrified to learn that Robert accepts.

Vic (Isabel Hodgins) notices that Robert is miles less enthusiastic than Kev and urges Aaron to be honest about his feelings before it’s too late. But this is the end of the road for Aaron.
