Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) gets cornered by a police officer in Emmerdale soon, causing teenager Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) to take advantage.

Ray has been manipulating Dylan and April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) into dealing drugs for months now. After orchestrating a plan that saw April lose a bag of drugs, Ray tricked them into thinking they owe his boss a massive amount of money.

In reality, letting them believe that they were in debt was just Ray’s way of terrifying them into never leaving. Both Dylan and April are now convinced that if they stopped working for Ray, they would be in danger, or their loved ones would be.

Next week, Dylan is late for his shift at the depot due him needing to complete another job.

He decides to attempt the handover in the open, leading to a furious Ray reminding him of the risks, and how his priority needs to be this job, not the one at the depot.

Meanwhile, DS Carter has arrived to speak with Kev (Chris Coghill). Following their conversation, she spots Ray and approaches. In a panic, he’s forced to ditch the backpack given to him by Dylan and speaks to Carter.

Due to the fact Carter watches Ray leave, he’s unable to collect the bag.

The item has been dropped by Dale View and outside, Ross Barton (Michael Parr) is helping Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) and Lewis (Bradley Riches) bring in some bags. He accidentally picks up Ray’s bag and when he realises where it’s gone, he desperately tries to retrieve it.

Ray’s attempt gets thwarted by Ross, so he orders Dylan to get it back instead.

Dylan turns on his charm with Vinny but fails. Feeling the pressure, Dylan manages to grab the keys to Dale View when Vinny is at the shop.

Meanwhile, Ray asks April to meet someone. She feels anxious, but knows she doesn’t have any choice.

In the street, Dylan sneaks into Dale View but leaves empty handed. After a confrontation from Ray, Dylan later confirms to April that he found the bag after all – and it was full of money.

It’s enough for the teens to run away together so they excitedly put their escape plan in motion. Just as they do though, April and Dylan receive a video message from Ray.
