Major Coronation Street death ‘leaked’ as fans discover shock victim

Coronation Street fans reckon they’ve worked out the death of a key character that will take place later this year.
Viewers of the ITV soap have long speculated that Billy Mayhew will meet a tragic end after it was confirmed earlier this year that star Daniel Brocklebank will be exiting after 12 years.
And these theories have since gathered steam after an image from the set of the ITV soap, which surfaced on social media, showed what appeared to be a memorial laid outside Billy’s flat.
Upon being shared to X, it didn’t take long for viewers to become convinced that Billy will be killed off.
‘I’d say Billy’ wrote Jane when talking about who the memorial was in honour of, while Claire, Lyndsey and user Diamondsky all agreed on such a thing.
‘This is probably Billys demise,’ added Caitlin.
It was confirmed earlier this year that Billy star Daniel would be leaving Corrie but the plot thickens as Metro understands that he hasn’t yet finished filming with the show.
However, scenes are often filmed out of order so that could be an explanation as to why.
Speaking about his upcoming exit, Daniel said: ‘I have been working on Corrie for a quarter of my life.
‘I have adored every minute I have been in that building and have never not look forward to going into work.
He added: ‘I love everyone who works on this show and whilst I am sad to be going, I am equally excited to see what the future holds.’

Producer of the show Kate Brooks said: ‘Billy will be involved in a major storyline over the coming months, which will see him tested in ways he never imagined, as friendships and his faith are pushed to the limit.
‘We’re incredibly sad to bid farewell to Dan, who has been fantastic in some of Corrie’s biggest storylines over the past few years, most notably Paul’s MND.
‘An actor of immeasurable talent and skill, and an absolute treasure behind the scenes – he will be missed by all of us on the cobbles.’
While it’s currently unknown as to have Billy will exit, there has been speculation that he might meet his demise at the hands of evil Theo (James Cartwright), who is abusing Billy’s ex Todd (Gareth Pierce).
Todd, as viewers know, has been told by Theo to keep his distance from Billy. But could Theo decide that ‘keeping distance’ isn’t enough and seek a more permanent solution to his Billy problem, killing the vicar?
