Is Emmerdale on tonight? Latest as ITV changes schedules again

After the change in Emmerdale’s schedule last week, things have not returned to normal just yet.
We know!
The ITV soap wasn’t on air last Thursday due to football coverage.
Unfortunately, you’re going to receive some bad news if you sit down at 7:30pm tonight hoping to see the villagers, as the show won’t be airing again.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Why isn’t Emmerdale on tonight?

Emmerdale isn’t on tonight due to the Latvia vs England European Qualifier match.
The kick off is at 7:45pm, with coverage expected to end at around 10pm. As a result, there isn’t any room for Emmerdale in the schedules.
When will Emmerdale return?
Fortunately, it’s back to normal for the rest of Emmerdale’s episodes this week.
They will air as follows:
- Wednesday, October 15: 7:30-8pm
- Thursday, October 16: 7:30-8:30pm
- Friday, October 17: 7:30-8pm
What is happening in Emmerdale this week?

On Monday, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) discovered husband Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) had been arrested in Dover. The character has been AWOL after deciding to track John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) down in France.
Moira only called Cain because she was completely exhausted looking after their children and running Butlers Farm alone. When Cain gets back to the village, he looks set to add to Moira’s stress levels, as it becomes apparent he’s in quite a bad way.
When Moira asks about John, Cain is reluctant to open up. Instead, he grabs another beer, opens it, and drowns his sorrows. It’s also the anniversary of Zak Dingle’s (Steve Halliwell) death this week, but Cain doesn’t want to think about another family loss.
Elsewhere, Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) opens up to Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) about her traumatic past. She reflects on the life she used to live after comments from Clemmie, who said that she only sent an indecent image to friend Carl because she thought that would make him like her.

‘Dawn lived it in an interesting way from a perspective of not having a stable family or home life and living on the streets with her boyfriend’, star Olivia Bromley said.
‘She explains a lot to Joe about this and you see how Dawn got herself into such a difficult situation for so many years, when actually now she’s quite accomplished, she’s got a smart head on her, she’s a good mother, she’s empathetic. yes, she’s made mistakes and is flawed like everyone is, but ultimately she’s got a good heart.’
Also in the village, April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) is taken to a hotel by Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) ahead of her next job.

The aim is to deal cocaine directly to the client, with instructions to have a drink with him to keep him sweet.
April’s nervous but ballsy, and heads into the hotel. She finds the client, Tim, who invites her in and accepts the cocaine. He offers her a drink as Ray says he would, but to April’s surprise, it’s not a San Pellegrino.
It’s vodka. Before she knows what’s happened, she realises she can’t leave as Tim traps her in the room.
