The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, September 30, reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will hide a secret from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) while Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) is forced to fall in line.

For starters, Sally will decide to make a bold move behind Billy’s back.

Billy won’t be aware of what Sally’s up to when she contacts Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) to make a pitch via video chat.

Sally will confess to being in love with Jill’s son, but she’ll also admit they have a problem.

That could lead to Sally explaining how Billy put his trust in Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and blew everything up with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) as a result.

Since Jack won’t be willing to give back the funding for Abbott Communications, Sally may wonder if Jill would be willing to fund it instead.

Jill may seriously doubt that Bill would accept anything from her, but Sally might think it’s possible if they can patch things up.

Whatever the case, Sally will know that all this friction has taken a toll on Billy, who obviously still loves his mother deep down.

It’d be best for everyone if Jill and Billy could find a way to repair their mother-son bond – regardless of what happens with Abbott Communications.

Between Jack pushing Jill to come see Cane’s agenda and Sally’s upcoming request, Jill will have some good reasons to head back to Genoa City.

Y&R fans are used to seeing Jill on video calls, but she’ll actually return to GC in the flesh later during the week of September 29-October 3.

In the meantime, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will clash with Diane after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) reach a dangerous agreement.

Diane may have lingering reservations about this partnership, but Nikki will force her to fall in line and accept this is happening.

Nikki will continue to have worries of her own, but she’ll still think Jack and Victor’s collaboration will give them the best chance at defeating Cane.

As for Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), she’ll rush to her own defense.

Since Tessa feels like the only way to salvage her marriage is by digging for the whole truth at Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) old hotel, she’ll be determined to seek answers.

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) won’t be sure Tessa should dive right into investigating, but Tessa will think it’s necessary and may promise Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will be there to back her up.
