Look, we all know how resolutions go. They start out strong, then just peter out long before the new year comes close to an end. Sure, some people do OK with them and make lasting changes, but let’s be honest: Most of us never get anywhere near that far! But when the folks at General Hospital asked the stars what their characters resolutions were, we couldn’t help but sit up and take notice.

There were heartwarming answers like reconnecting with family or staying out of trouble, but then there were very specific responses that had us wondering if we were getting a peek at what’s to come!

The show shared a video on X starting with Genie Francis vowing that Laura should “remember that she could overcome hard times before and that she will again.” That’s definitely true, and we have no doubt that she’ll pull herself out of this Sidwell mess in the end! But then we got to some of the other resolutions!

“Lucas’s resolution for 2026 is to stay out of the catacombs and stay off the parapet,” Van Hansis shared. And yeah, that is, admittedly, good sense for anyone living in or visiting Wyndemere, but it’s also very specific and has us slightly worried about Lucas’ life. If only he hadn’t gotten mixed up with Marco!

Alexa Havins also had a very specific answer for Lulu, stating that her “resolution should be not to pursue her best friend’s husband.” Well, we guess Maxie’s going to be in for quite a few shocks when she wakes up to her bestie hooking up with her not-so-dead husband!

And Maurice Benard declared that Sonny’s “lonely. He’s been, he’s been lonely for a long time now. So I think it’s time for him to get some love.” Agreed! Though we’re split on whether that’s with someone new or a blast from the past.
