The biggest creative update comes from the growing cast. Alongside returning stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, The Dutton Ranch recently added Jai Courtney in a key role, as another rancher. He joins previously announced additions Ed Harris and Annette Bening, giving the series a heavyweight ensemble right out of the gate. The Dutton Ranch‘s logline reads:

Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch. With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he’s supposed to be.

What Other Yellowstone Sequels Are There?

The Dutton saga concluded last year when the series finale for Yellowstone aired, leaving only two Dutton children alive. With The Dutton Ranch set to follow Beth, the youngest Dutton sibling, Kacey (Luke Grimes), has not been left out in the cold. The character has also gotten his own spin-off titled Y: Marshals.

Y: Marshals premieres on CBS midseason and will air on Sundays. The Dutton Ranch does not have a premiere date yet, but stay tuned to Collider for more information.
