She risked her marriage and relationship with her kids to embark on a torrid affair with him. The pair even had sex on the floor of her children’s playroom!

Curtis talks to Willow

On Drew and Willow’s wedding day, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) told Willow that Drew had slept with her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Willow dumped Drew at the altar. Drew was shot in September. Now, Willow is on trial for the attempted murder of Drew, whom she recently married to prove they are a united front.

For as long as this story has progressed, we have thought that Willow is the red herring in the story. We didn’t believe she shot Drew.

Drew shot

However, if Willow wasn’t exactly herself when she shot him, maybe that would explain everything. We have to wonder if perhaps Willow is suffering from dissociative identity disorder or something like it.

Yet, maybe she doesn’t even remember shooting him because it wasn’t even her! It could have been an alternate personality.

One Life to Live showcased a storyline featuring Viki Buchanan (Erika Slezak) and her alternate personality, Niki Smith.

Willow agreed to give a false alibi to the police the minute she didn’t speak up when Nina lied and said the two of them were out for a walk at the time Drew was shot.

Willow was walking in the rain

That said, Willow may have an alter that’s responsible for shooting her husband. Often, when someone suffers from dissociative identity disorder, it’s due to some kind of childhood trauma.

We know that Willow who was raised by a cult called Dawn of Day. Her situation with Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) definitely caused her plenty of trauma.

Willl Willow and Drew actually marry

It took Willow’s learning that Drew had an affair with her mother to realize that Drew destroyed her life. She had motive, means, and opportunity to shoot Drew.

Willow snuck into the Quartermaine mansion undetected to gaslight Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) and torment her daughter.

Who’s to say she wasn’t experiencing DID at the time? The epiphany that Drew ruined her life may have broken Willow. She could have lost it and tried to kill Drew because of it.

Nina gives Willow an alibi for the night Drew was shot

Interestingly, the traffic cam footage showed Willow close to Drew’s house the night of the shooting. However, Willow may not remember and truly believe she’s innocent.

Maybe an alter ego came out to play and convinced Willow that the only way to see her kids and get her life back was to get Drew out of the way for good.
